THE BASICS:

• WHERE? At the shop - 42 N. Huron St., Ypsilanti, MI 48197

• HOW MUCH? $25 per class; students with ID get a 10% discount (this does not include supplies)

• HOW MANY PER CLASS? 20 students, maximum

FAQ:

• What skill level are these classes for? They are for all levels, but you will benefit if you’ve got a basic familiarity with the tools involved. Tip: Do some googling of anything you aren’t familiar with before the class!

• Cancellation policy? Classes are non-refundable. All earnings from these courses go right back into the shop/Ypsi, so, you can feel good about that.

• Are supplies included in the price? No, they are not. If you are missing a tool, you have the opportunity to purchase what you need at YAS with a 25% discount (which will be sent to you when you register).

  No classes will be so specialized that supplies will be overly costly or hard to find. In an instance where a unique tool is needed, YAS will provide it!

• Are kids allowed to attend classes? Yes, but a parent/guardian must remain with them throughout. Most classes are not recommended for children under nine, but accommodations can be made! There will be classes that are 18+ only - check the schedule to see which those are.

• What style of art can I expect to be taught? Megan is an artist of realism, mostly on the smaller side (under 8.5 x 11”), with a focus on natural accuracy. They have more than two decades experience as a medical/biological illustrator. Students that desire a highly interpretive approach to art-making would likely not benefit from these offerings.
