What are your hours?
TUES-FRI from NOON-6PM & SAT/SUN from 11AM-5PM. We’re only closed on Mondays.
Do you hold classes?

Are you online-only? Do you have a brick & mortar location?
YAS has both! The brick and mortar location is 42 N. Huron Street in downtown Ypsi and is currently expanding into 46 N. Huron next door as well. What’s in stock there is also available to buy 24/7 (for pick-up or shipping) from the online store.
You don’t carry a supply/maker I’m looking for. Can you get it?
Probably! One of YAS’ missions is bringing items into the shop that folks have asked about and would like to buy locally (thank you for shopping local & small!).

I’m interested in hosting an art class or creative get-together at YAS. How do I start that process?
We’d love to hear your idea! Please fill out this interest form and either Lena or Megan will get in touch. Alternatively, you can email Lena at Lena@rhizomeartstudio.com or stop in to chat.
Do you have a phone number?
YAS does not have a phone number but there are four other ways to get in touch - direct messaging on Facebook and Instagram, the chat feature on our online store, and email.
Most questions are about what we have in stock and those can be answered by searching our online shop as it’s synced with what we have at our physical location.
Do you carry art from local artists in your shop?
YAS exclusively carries local artwork from founder Megan Foldenauer. Our neighbors, Twisted Things and Luna Gallery, are amazing artists’ co-ops you should check out if you’re an artist looking to get into some local stores. That said, YAS does stock cards, stickers, and pins from local makers (check out the “Made in Ypsi” category in the online shop to browse them) and we’d be happy to talk to you about yours - come by, email, or comment on social media to start the ball rolling.
Can I order online & pick-up at the shop?
Yes! There is an option to choose pick-up when you check out.
Do you deliver?
Let’s chat if you are in Ypsi/A2. This is a service we’d love to provide but have not set up formally.
How do I contact you if I have a product/service/creation that I think you’d love for Y.A.S.?

I’m not an artist but I want to help. How can I do that?
Spread the word on social media (re-posts, likes, bookmarks) or when talking to friends & family. Word-of-mouth is ESSENTIAL for a small business to thrive.
Buy your artsy friends/family a gift card?
Maybe you’d like to buy us coffee?
Do you make the items you sell?
Some of them! The Polite Menace sticker line, the occasional handmade paper, the button books, and crayon letters - those are all made by Megan.
Otherwise, everything we sell comes from our thoroughly vetted wholesale vendors. We seek out brands that align with our values and a vast majority are woman (trans women are women!), LGBTQIA+-, and/or BIPOC-owned, made in the USA, and not found on big box retail sites.
