Ecoprinting involves hammering colorful plant materials into pre-mordanted bandanas and T-shirts. Anthotype is similar to cyanotype, but the process Eva has developed uses turmeric for the color and iron for a mordant to make the color more permanent. For creating designs via anthotyping, you’ll make a papercut stencil to act as a resist (see photos for examples of finished results).

Eva will provide the bandanas and T-shirts, which must be 100% cotton and appropriately prepared in advance. You can select from the following options:

  • 1 Bandana + 1 T-shirt*

  • 2 Bandanas

  • 2 T-shirts*

*For T-shirts, please be sure to indicate the size(s) you would like (S, M, L, XL, or 2XL) by typing the size(s) into the Registration Form!

Please email copperandgarlic@gmail.com with any questions.
